Editing Vision Data

Vectorworks Spotlight software is integrated with the Vision program, for lighting devices that have an appropriate Fixture Mode setting. Associated with the fixture mode, default data for Vision specifies the device’s color wheels, gobo wheels, animation wheels, and attachments; the default Vision data can be changed for a selected lighting device with the Edit Vision Data command.

The gobo, color, and animation properties of the instrument can either be set here, or by clicking Edit from a selected lighting device. General and attachment information can only be set from the Edit Vision Data command.

Parameter	Description
General	Specifies general information about the device, for use in Vision. ● Fixture Name: Displays the name of the fixture (similar to selecting the Fixture Mode in the Object Info palette). Select a different fixture mode from the list if needed. Click Select Different Fixture to select a different lighting instrument. ● Fixture Parameters: The number of channels required is set by the fixture type; specify the unit number, universe, and channel numbers for use in Vision. If set in the Object Info palette, the parameters display here. ● Comments: Displays any information applicable to the device
Gobos	Selects custom gobo patterns to load into gobo wheels; for each wheel, click on a Slot location to display the selected gobo for the slot. To change the gobo for the slot, click Change Gobo and select a different gobo image from the Select a Gobo dialog box. If possible, a preview displays on the right.
Colors	Selects custom colors to load into color wheels; for each wheel, click on a Slot location to display the selected color for the slot. To change the color for the slot, click Change Color and select a custom color or a manufacturer color from the Color Picker dialog box. A preview of the color displays.
Animation Wheels	Selects custom animations to load into animation wheels; for each wheel, click on a Slot location to display the selected animation for the slot. To change the animation for the slot, click Change Animation Wheel and select a different animation from the Select an Animation Wheel dialog box. If possible, a preview displays on the right.
Attachments	Selects custom attachments for the lighting device. Available Attachments for the selected device display on the left; click the disclosure arrow, if needed to see the attachments in a category. Click on an attachment and then click Add to attach it to the device. The attachments are listed in Current Attachments on the right. To remove an attachment from the device, select it and click Remove. Select an attachment and click Edit Attachment to specify all the general, gobo, color, and animation wheel parameters for the attachment. The identical Vision Light dialog box opens, to set the attachment’s properties. Specify the properties for the attachment.
Restore All Defaults	Restores the default data for the lighting device based on the Fixture Mode specified in the Object Info palette
